About Us
Bella Vino Gifts is an endeavor of Lisa Miller, who solicited her craft-savvy mother, Barbara, for help to create this new business. After the birth of her first child in April 2010, Lisa looked to begin a new kind of business that would allow for more flexible hours so she could be home with her new baby girl. Barbara worked in ceramics for some 20 years, and had the skills and the equipment to help Lisa. Using a technique called bottle slumping, Lisa and Barbara began to reuse glass wine and liquor bottles to create cheese trays, bowls, spoon holders, etc. And so the business began...
Lisa Miller, founder and director
Lisa, seen here with her daughter Mackenzie, graduated from Villanova University in 2003. She and her husband currently reside in Summit, NJ. She enjoys crafting and playing soccer when possible. She works almost as hard at her craft as she does at being a mother of three.
Colleen Kling, technical support and occassional saleswoman
Colleen is Lisa's little sister, a Tufts University graduate who works as an Energy Engineer. She's happy to help out the family business by supporting technical needs, such as website maintenance. She also works at the craft fairs from time to time to sell Bella Vino's products. Colleen resides in Hoboken, but makes frequent trips around New Jersey to see her nieces and nephews (and the rest of her family, too).
Special Dedication to Barbara "Bella" Kling
Barbara, or Bella, as she was known to her grandchildren, was not only the namesake of Bella Vino Gifts, but a key component to its functioning. With her substantial experience in the craft industry, and, of course, her ownership of a ceramics kiln, her contributions were invaluable. We hope to continue in her footsteps and make her proud. Bella will always be with us in spirit and continues to be our inspiration.
